Crisis Assistance

Crisis assistance is at the core of our mission of expressing the love of God through ministry to those in need by supplying temporary, short-term assistance. It is the cornerstone of why Care Help was established over 40 years ago and continues to serve our community.

Cities we serve: Carlyss, DeQuincy, Edgerly, Hackberry, Johnson Bayou, Starks, Sulphur, Vinton, Westlake

We are open:
Monday-Wednesday 9:00 am-1:00 pm, 2:00pm-4:00pm
Please check our website calendar or Facebook page for days or holidays that we are closed.

You will need to bring: Photo ID, for everyone in household-Social Security Cards, bills, income, food stamp sheet (if receive), current two months of bank statement. 

We take applications for help with:

  • Furniture
  • Medicine
  • Utilities (water, electric, gas)
  • Residents, homeless, and transient food
  • Clothing
  • Qualifying medical and dental assistance
  • Bus ticket
  • Fire
  • Gasoline
  • Rent
  • Emergency lodging
  • Infant needs
