Each week during the school year, Care Help provides bags filled with nonperishable single-serving food items to students who live with food insecurity on the weekends. The counselors, teachers, and administrative staff at schools in West Calcasieu and West Cameron parishes determine the need and communicate this with Care Help.

This partnership has enabled us to reach our 15th year of serving food-insecure school students on weekends, currently supporting 590 students across west Calcasieu parish every weekend.
